Sound Recording - Goosebumps For this project, each group was assigned certain sounds to record, and then they were all put in a general pile for use. We were supplied with a piece of footage from the movie Goosebumps, and we had to recreate the entire audio mix. I worked with Matt Hoesterey and it was our responsibility to record: 1) monster hitting top and side of the metallic sided barn 2) monster hitting ground from jump off the shack. We scored an A, and are project was also selected out of nine other projects to be shown at screenings. |

Sound Recording - Jaws This project was a complete blast to work on. It was a cooperative team project between Ernie Topran and I. We had to pick a picture and create a soundtrack for it. We recorded and foleyed all of our sounds using a professional Sony DAT recorder with a Beyer Cardioid Stereo pair using the ORTF stereo recording method. The audio was then dumped into our ProTools Audio suite, and we mixed it using a MACKE Hui. We recorded all around the area, including Lake Ontario, as well as recording myself diving and splashing around the campus pool. |
